"John"

Positive Philosophy from John, a homeless man living on the exposed seafront in Cleethorpes. He allowed me to take this portrait with is homemade placard as he was sheltering near the Pier as winds wipped up sand into a sand storm along the promenade. Despite being homeless, John's placard encourages passers-by to smile as whatever their problems, they couldn't be worse than his, living on the street. Alot of people don't like to see the homeless, in fact many people walked by and ignored John while I spent a few minutes with him. Who are we to judge? We haven't walked a mile in his shoes. The only people who bothered to stop and speak to John were two former homless friends who had brought him some clean clothes! They had walked in his "shoes" and were doing their bit to make his life fractionally better!
